Gethen Jane Vogt, 79, died February 4, 2006 in the presence of her loving family in Albuquerque, NM. She was born September 30, 1926 in Reading, PA to Robert and Ada Dunkelberger. She grew up loving sports, being very athletic herself, especially in tennis. After college, she met and married John Vogt Jr., also of Reading, PA. They were married July 11, 1947, and had three sons; John III, Andy, and Peter. The family moved to Denver in 1959 where they lived for 41 years. Eventually, Getty and John moved to Albuquerque to be close to family. She enjoyed most being involved with her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed life to the fullest even though she became wheelchair-bound later in life. She is survived by her devoted husband, John; sister, Nancy Kyle; and her three sons, John III and his wife, Patty, of Austin, TX, Andy and his wife, Janet, of Albuquerque, and Peter and his wife, Allie of Coeur d'Alene, ID; and ten grandchildren; and one great-grandson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sandia Civitan Club, for the purpose of building wheelchair ramps. Please send donations to Robert W.
