Obituary for ROWE

William Wallace Rowe, born in Sterling, NE on September 11, 1922, passed away at home on Friday, February 10, 2006. He was a loving husband, devoted father, grandfather and friend. William is survived by his wife of almost 66 years, Ortha M. Rowe; daughters, Charlene S. Jaramillo and husband, Ray, Paula J. Woods, all of Albuquerque and Wanda S. Horn and husband, Terry of Oregon; niece, Connie D. Finley and husband, Charles of Nebraska; nephew, John C. Rowe of Albuquerque; grandchildren, William R. Jaramillo and wife, Kris, Ramon L. Jaramillo, Andrea M. Jaramillo Powell and husband, Kirk, Ryan A. Jaramillo, Kimberly J. Rubidoux, Timothy J. Rubidoux and wife, Erica, Courtney P. Bradley and husband, Glen, and Jayme A. Swalby and husband, Michael; 13 great-grandchildren and sisters, Doris Baker and Irene Rowe. He was a highly decorated WWII veteran with the Army Air Corps in which he flew over 35 missions. William retired from Sandia National Labs where he worked as an electrical engineer. He was a licensed amateur radio operator with the US Army Military Affiliated Radio Systems for 45 years. He was also a mason and was a member of the Sandia Mountain Lodge #72. William will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel.
