Obituary for KNIPFING

Marion H. Knipfing, 88, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2006. She was a much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who lived in Albuquerque since 1962. She is survived by her children, Dick Knipfing and wife, Charlene; Joyce Knipfing; and Beth Royer and husband, Paul; grandchildren, Tina Johnson, Trey Knipfing and wife, Annette; Bridget Goldfarb and husband, John; Suzanne Skasik; Chris Royer; Allyson Royer-DuBois and husband, Jason; Katie Royer; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur White of Boca Raton, FL; and sister, Marjorie Galt of Stannardsville, VA. Marion was preceded in death in 2002 by her husband, Dick Knipfing, Sr. Marion's life was centered on loving God and her family and on helping other people. She belonged to Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Parish and she was an active member of the Marianites. Even as she raised her children and managed her home, she reached out to others by becoming a certified Braillist and transcribing countless books for the blind. Marion was also a customer service supervisor for Blue Cross-Blue Shield. But mostly, she was our Mom. She loved us always, cared for us, worried about us and never stopped praying for us. We love you, Mom. A Rosary will be recited Friday, January 6, 2006, 7:30 p.m., at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Saturday, January 7, 2006, 10:30 a.m. at the Church. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Trey Knipfing, Christopher Royer, John Knipfing, Tyler Johnson, Jacob Todd, and Kyle Goldfarb.
