Michael Chavez, 48, was taken by the Lord January 4, 2006. Michael was a beloved husband and father. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Rosario Chavez; and brothers, Tony and Pat Chavez. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Chavez; son, Michael Chavez; daughter, Monica Chavez; brothers, Manuel Chavez, Albert Chavez, Leroy Chavez and wife, Sandy, and Philip Chavez and wife, Ingrid; sisters, Loucile Pagoni and husband, Mike and Evelyn Gene McCloud; many nieces and nephews; mother- and father-in-law, Ramon and Virginia Rodriguez; brother-in-law, Ray Rodriguez; sister-in-law, Patricia Rodriguez Pastor and husband, Rod; special cousin, Grace Chavez; special aunt, Carmen Chavez; and three special cats, Rox, Bandit, and Ralphie. A Rosary will be recited on Friday, January 6, 2006, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at St. Francis Xavier Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joshua Barreras, Eric Casias, Raul Chavez, David Gomez, Philip Chavez Jr., and Michael Baca. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Garcia, Ron Deck, Ray Rodriguez, Christopher Chavez, Gabriel Gonzales, Chris Sanchez, Mike Moya, Anthony Torrez, John Ortiz, Michael Rodriguez, and Vincent Rodriguez.
