Raquel Garcia-Tafoya, 9, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 31, 2005 peacefully at home in the arms of her loving family and is now one of God's Angels in Heaven. Raquel is the beloved daughter to Valerie Tafoya and loving sister to Estevan Tafoya. She is also survived by so many that loved her, her grandparents, Johnny and Mabel Tafoya; great-grandfather, Merced Tafoya; an uncle, Adrian Tafoya and wife, Antoinette; aunts, Stephanie and Jennifer Tafoya; cousins, Izaiah Tafoya and Paris Vargas; several great-aunts, uncles, and other extended family members. Raquel was a member of the Catholic Church and a student Chaparral Elementary School. A visitation for Raquel will be Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW with a Vigil Service to be held at 7:00 p.m. Final visitation will be Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of the Angels to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Tafoya, Dan Chavez, Larry Betancourt, Antone Olona, Dion Vargas, and Lawrence Sandoval. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW 243-7861
