Obituary for CARVER

Lloyd Dale Carver, age 68, formerly of Belen, NM, now of Sidney, MT, passed away in Sidney on December 26, 2005. Dale was born in Farmington, NM to Carl Floyd Carver and Virgie Lee Harding and lived in the Grants community while he was growing up. He married Melva Lavern Carver in Grants, NM on May 11, 1962. The couple moved to Belen in 1966 where they stayed to raise their family. Dale and Lavern moved to Sidney in 1988. Dale served in the U.S. Army Infantry, Company A, 1st Brigade. Dale was a very active supporter of 4-H, the New Mexico Jr. Rodeo Association, a lifetime member of the Elks Club, Jaycees, and was a deacon at Fellowship Baptist Church in Sidney. He retired after 35 years with Farm Bureau Insurance. Dale was preceded in death by his father, Carl Carver; mother, Virgie Carver; wife, Melva Lavern Carver; sister, Mildred House; brothers, Charles Carver, Carl Carver Jr., John Carver, and Harold Carver; and grandson, Brandon Brock Elton. Dale is survived by three sons, Rendell Carver and his wife, Linda, of Los Alamos, NM, Robert Carver and his wife, Rosalie, of Peralta, NM, and Ryan Carver of Sidney; two daughters, Ronda Carver of Calverton, VA and Renee Carver of Sidney; his ten loving grandchildren, Ambir and Jason Luna, Ryan Barney, Michael Evans, Jason Evans, Ricky Ryan Elton, Adrienne Carver, Kyle Carver, Nathan Carver, Stephen Carver, and Hannah Carver; one great-grandchild, Ashley Luna; and three brothers, Lee Carver of Thoreau, NM, Ronald Carver of Red Oak, OK, and Larry Carver of Milan, NM. A Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Sidney, MT. An additional Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 2, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Romero Funeral Home, Belen, NM, Pastor H. Mike Sams officiating. Interment will take place at Terrace Grove Cemetery.
