Joe G. Mr. Joe G. Lopez, 93, our hero and champ and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on December 26, 2005. Mr. Lopez is the beloved husband to Mrs. Eleanor Lopez, married for 64 years. He is also survived by his nine loving children, Arthur Lopez, Anita Hernandez, Joe Lopez, Fredrick Lopez and wife, Diane, Katherine Lopez, Teddy Lopez, Louella Lopez, Joann Lopez, and Liz Valdez and husband, Jeff; special nephews, Larry Lopez and Damian Lopez; special friend, David Garcia; 25 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Lopez was preceded in death by his son, Charlie Lopez; grandson, Frank Akers; and his brother and sisters. Mr. Lopez was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation for Mr. Lopez will be Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Silviano and Frances Candelaria. Final visitation will be Friday morning from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Clara Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arthur Lopez, Joe Lopez, Fredrick Lopez, Teddy Lopez, Joshua Lopez, and Damian Lopez.
