Perfilia Valdez passed away peacefully in the hands of her family Friday at the age of 75. She loved to sing. She is survived by her husband, Faustino Valdez; two sons, Juan and wife, Dolores Valdez, Arturo and wife, Donna Valdez; five brothers: Ruben and wife, Flora Lucero, George and wife, Viola Lucero, Elmer and wife, Frances Lucero, and Celestino Lucero, Clarence and wife, Darlene Lucero; six grandchildren: Jessica, Linda, Janelle, Lorretta, Justine, and Monica; and nine great-grandchildren: Brandi, Cruz, Tony, Divon, Doninic, Alex, Jasmin, Alicia, and Nayeli. Pallbearers will be Donald, Jeremy, Mark, Greg, Daniel, and Jacob Lucero; Honorary Pallbearers will be Art Montoya, Orlando Sanchez, and Flavio Marquez. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Marquez Cemetery in Marquez, NM. Wake Services will be held Monday 7:00 p.m. at the Salazar & Sons Mortuary.
