Obituary for VIGIL

Amelia Vigil, 88, a resident of Albuquerque has gone to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 18, 2005. She will be remembered for her kindness, good humor and the love for her family, friends and her Sacred Heart. During the years her girls attended Sacred Heart School. Amelia served in several capacities on the PTA. She was a member of St. Anne's Parish for over 40 years and was a past member of the Altar and Rosary Societies. She will be missed and will always live in our hearts. She was preceded in death by her first born, John Jr.; her husband of 48 years; brothers, Ernest, Fred, Frank, and Willie Vigil; and sisters, Juanita Etzdorf and Fina Garcia. Mrs. Vigil is survived by her daughters, Vicky Deer and husband, Marx, Isabel Haulman and husband, Wayne, Mary Gabaldon and husband, Raymond, and Ann Lopez and husband, Gabe; 15 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Pete Vigil of Albuquerque; and many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation for Mrs. Vigil will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at Salazar & Sons Mortuary from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. also at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at St. Anne Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Marx Deer, Jim Deer, Larry Avila, Bill Deer, Mannie Avila, and Ruben Avila. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Gabaldon and Mike Deer.
