Jim C. Thomas, USAF Msgt. Retired. Jim, age 81, passed away at home Sunday, December 11, 2005. He was born in Oklahoma and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in WWII, Korea and Vietnam, having retired in 1968. Jim then worked at the VA Hospital for 15 years and retired in 1986. He was a resident of Belen since 1972. Jim is survived by his wife, Maria Thomas; children, Steve Thomas and wife Karen, Mark Thomas and wife Lavina and Janie Goff; nine grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; one great-great -granddaughter; sister, Joann Tilly and husband Jim; other family members and friends who loved and will sorely miss him. The Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church Los Chavez, 09 Los Chavez Park Rd., off Highway 314 five miles south of Los Lunas in Los Chavez, on Thursday, December 15, 2005. The visitation will begin at 9:00am, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00am, with Pastor Boyd Morerod officiating.
