Obituary for GONZALES

Mary Gonzales, age 87, beloved and devoted mother, and grandmother, was welcomed into the arms of our Heavenly Father, Friday, December 9, 2005, while surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Tokay, NM to the late Isaias and Estanislada Romero; she was a resident of Rio Rancho; and a member of the Catholic Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, shopping, eating candy, and being social, but most of all sharing her thoughts and experiences with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivis Gonzales. Mary was blessed with four loving daughters, Dina Wieland and husband, Arlan, Sylvia Anaya and husband, Tony, Merlinda Turner and husband, Terry, and Viola Montano and husband, Pat; 19 precious grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Mary will be greatly missed by her loving family and by those who knew and loved her. Visitations will be Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary, where a Rosary for Mary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1502 Sara Rd., SE, in Rio Rancho. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ralph Garcia, Don Garcia, Terry Turner, Eric Chavez, Pat Montano, and Dane Wilson. Honorary bearers will be Morgan Wilson, Shantel C. Turner, Mark Wieland, Arlan Wieland, Steven Dominic Chavez and Tony Anaya.
