Elio (Leo) Raul Armijo of Albuquerque passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2005. He was born July 10, 1942 in Morenci, AZ to Lazarita Lerma and the late Tomas Armijo. Elio is survived by his mother, Lazarita Saavedra; brother, Angel Ted Armijo, San Diego, CA; son, Mark and wife, Melissa; son, Adrian and wife, Eileen; granddaughter, Aja and grandson, Christian, all of the Lopez Family. Elio was a very devoted son, father, and grandfather to his family. His grandchildren were his world and he will be dearly missed. He will be in his family's hearts and thoughts forever. A Memorial Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, December 14, 2005, 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment ceremonies will take place at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pauline Armijo Scholarship Fund, New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union.
