Obituary for TURNER

Florence "Mildred" Turner, age 95, of Rio Rancho, passed away in her home, Wednesday, December 7, 2005. Mildred loved people and always had people around her. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and traveling both within the U.S. and abroad. One of her greatest loves was working in the church. In St. James United Methodist Church in Philadelphia, PA, she was greatly involved in United Methodist Women, having served as president and in many other capacities. She had also spent many hours volunteering in the Needlework Guild of Olney, Philadelphia. Mrs. Turner is survived by her husband, Hugh J. Turner of Rio Rancho; three daughters, Minta Taylor and her husband, Robert of Jenkintown, PA, Mary Reed and her husband, Ronald of Sun City West AZ, and Katherine Prentice of Philadelphia, PA; step-son, Terry Turner of Rio Rancho; step-daughter, Debra Shie and her husband, Steve of Ft. Wayne, IN; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Roy Elmore officiating. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd.
