Obituary for STALCUP

Virginia "Ginny" Stalcup, 80, of Bloomfield, NM passed away December 3, 2005 at her home. She was born March 1, 1925 in Topeka, KS and has lived in Bloomfield for the last 25 years. She was at the forefront of the video rental business in Farmington, NM owning and managing Video Squares in the early 1980s. She also spent many years as a volunteer at the San Juan Regional Hospital in Farmington, NM. She and her husband, William were part of a successful western band "Bill Stalcup and His Dude Ranch Hands" that was regularly seen on then KGGM TV, now KRQE TV in Albuquerque, NM in the 1950s. They were also involved in creating a tour guide for drivers of Gray Line Tours of Los Angeles, CA in the late 1970s. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, William Stalcup, in 1980. She is survived by her three sons, William and wife, Jo Anne of Rio Rancho, NM, Robert and wife, Pam of Bloomfield, NM, and Jerry and wife, Marilyn of Valdez, AK. She also has nine grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home, 103 E. Ute St. Farmington, NM from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Bloomfield, NM with Rev. Kathy Potter officiating. Interment will follow at Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield, NM. Mrs. Stalcup is in the care of Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home & Crematory, 103 E.
