Porfinio Romero, 61, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 8, 2005. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. He is survived by the love of his life, Mary Jane Romero and their three children, Gloria Garza and her husband, Noel, Porfinio James Romero Jr., and Carmen Christina Romero, all of Albuquerque. His beloved grandchildren are Sonorah Romero, Gabrielle Garza, Josiah Garza, and Janelle Gallegos. He is also survived by his sister, Dolores Mirabal; and brothers, Abie Romero and wife, Jeannine of Denver, CO, Faustino Romero, Toby Romero and wife, Jennie, and David Romero, all of Albuquerque; along with 108 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Abelino and Theresa Romero; and his sister, Suzie Maldonado. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2005, at 7:30 p.m. at New Beginnings Church of God, 3601 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. Funeral Services will be held at New Beginnings Church of God on Monday, December 12, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE, Albuquerque, NM. Dr. Denis Otero, Pastor of Maranatha Congregation, Pastor Bill Ruhl, Church on the Rock, and Pastor Richard Mansfield, New Beginnings Church of God will officiate.
