C.B. Lain, 84, a resident of Albuquerque since 1970, died peacefully at home in Albuquerque on Saturday, December 3, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Noble; son, Gary Lain and wife, Bobbi; daughter, Anita Johnston; grandsons, Roy and Ryan Mullen; granddaughters, Tanya Kravig and Corri Klingsmith; great-grandson, Devan Mullen; great-granddaughters, Kylie and Taryn Kravig; sister, Bessie Lee Olds; and nieces, nephews, and many friends. C. B. proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a deacon at Hoffmantown Baptist Church. C.B. was a loving husband, beloved father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE Thursday, December 8, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Friday, December 9, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. with Brother Bill Ratliff and Pastor Ken Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Baptist Children's Home, 2200 S Avenue I, Portales, NM 88130 in C.B's memory.
