Kent Alan Smithinger was born June 7, 1949 in Davenport, IA. He died at his home in Albuquerque, NM on Monday, October 24, 2005. Kent is survived by two sisters, Charyl S. Gentner and Marcia R.Younger, both of Phoenix. He was preceded in death by both parents, and an older brother, Michael. Kent was involved in the music and video industry for most of his life. He traveled extensively around the world, both as an executive and as an avid fly-fisherman. Kent was fluent in several foreign languages and enjoyed immersing himself in the local cultures as he traveled. Remembrances can be made in his name to Girls and Boys Town, Boys Town, NB 68010.
