Obituary for GONZALES

JOSEPH VICTOR. Mr. Joseph Victor Gonzales, 71, a resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2005. Mr. Gonzales is the beloved husband to Mrs. Sally Gonzales, married for 48 years. He is also survived by his children, James Gonzales and wife, Heather, Sharon Apodaca, Karen Gurule and husband, Alex, Terri Kelley and husband, Dan, Vicky Gonzales, Kimberly Gonzales and husband, Amin Marquez; his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Gonzales; one sister, Angie Martinez; two brothers, Leroy Gonzales and Ronnie Gonzales and wife, Marcella; a sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Maestas and husband, Gene; 14 grandchildren, Vincent, Felicia, Josephine, Bryanna, Joseph, Angelina, Isaac, Josiah, Jesse, Summer, Amber, Joshua, Estevan and Mandy; one great-grandchild, Julian; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Gonzales was preceded in death by his father, David Louis Gonzales and his brothers, Danny and Jimmy. Joseph Victor was raised in Raton and raised his children there as well. He was a member of the Legacy Church, a Veteran of the United States Army, served for 19 1/2 years in the Army National Guard and was retired from the New Mexico State Transportation Department after 25 years. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be remembered for his kind heart, his generous spirit, and his sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew him and loved him dearly. A visitation of family and friends will be from 12:00 noon until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2005 at the Legacy Church, 7201 Central NW with a Memorial Service at 12:30 p.m. A reception will follow.
