Obituary for ALONZO

Althea Alonzo, 78, lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, November 19, 2005. She is survived by her former husband, Fritz Alonzo; children, Jackie Dominguez, Rick Alonzo, Cathy Alonzo, Jon Alonzo; nine grandchildren, Tai, Shawn, Ric, Jennifer, Adam, Tiffany, Brittany, Chris, and Jonathan, all of Albuquerque; great-grandson, Carlos Wheeler; sister, Evelyn Vigil of Tesuque Pueblo; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Alonzo was a longtime teacher of Home Economics at the Albuquerque Indian School as well as at S.I.P.I. and Acoma Pueblo. She was a former member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Queen of Angels Chapel. Mrs. Alonzo enjoyed reading, classical music, the outdoors, sewing and cooking. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel.
