Obituary for PERRY

Ivy Lanier "Pat" Perry, 84, a life long resident of Albuquerque, died Thursday, November 17, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Dorothy Perry; three children, Carley Perry and wife, Glenda , Patti MacDuffee and husband, Keith and Peggy Gutierrez and husband, Maurice, all of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, Shane Randall, Keesha Stewart, Brandon Stewart and Ashley Perry; one great granddaughter, Kaylyn Randall. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy Earl and Edna Inez Perry, son, Ivy Doyle Perry, and one granddaughter, Briana Vigil MacDuffee. Pat was born in Texas and moved to Albuquerque when he was fourteen. After graduation he served in the United States Army. By the age of 23 he owned three businesses. One was a hotel, lounge and restaurant on the lake at Eagles Nest. The others were the Beach Tavern at Tingley Beach and the Railroad Club in Belen. Pat was a member of the Pipefitters Union Local 412 and retired in 1983. He was a member of the Animas Masonic Lodge #15, A.F. & A.M. of Farmington. He was an avid sportsman, who loved fishing, hunting and bowling. Pat was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd, Monday, November 21, 2005 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Services will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, with Pastor David Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kaseman Presbyterian Hospice, 8300 Constitution NE, 87110.
