Jose A. Martinez, 87, passed away peacefully November 17, 2005. He was a quiet, loving person and a great family man who worked hard to provide for his family. He is survived by his wife Carmen Martinez; children Bessie Ortega and husband Tom, Milton Martinez and wife Candace, Julian Martinez and wife Norma, John Martinez, and wife Louise; 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild. Pallbearers will be Tom Ortega Jr., Joseph Ortega, Johnny Martinez, Joey Martinez, Julian Martinez, and Lawrence Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Gardner and Vincent Ortega. A Rosary will be recited at Sacred Heart Church at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2005, a communal mass will be held at the Sacred Heart Church on Monday, November 21, 2005, at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe New Mexico at 11:30 a.m. Arrangements by: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW 247-4124
