Olden Lee Burchett passed away on November 16, 2005, in Fairview, OK. He was born on April 4, 1934, in Seiling, OK to Roy and Louise Burchett. He attended Deep Creek elementary and Seiling High School. He received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University and a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Olden worked at Sandia National Laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico for thirty-two years. Olden taught Mechanical Engineering for many years at Oklahoma State University, University of Oklahoma, University of New Mexico, and Texas Tech University. He is survived by his wife, Jean of fifty-one years. His children are David Olden Burchett, deceased; Howard Roy Burchett of Bosque Farms, NM; daughter, Laura Jean and husband, Shannon Ritchie; and three grandchildren, Haley, Garrett, and Gavin Ritchie of Lubbock, TX; brothers, O'Neill and wife, Charlotte Burchett of Las Cruces, NM; Bud Burchett of Seiling, OK; sister, Bonnie Cox of Seiling, OK; and brothers-in-law, Dwayne Hedges of Seiling, OK; Rubin and wife, Ann Millerborg of Piedmont, OK. Services will be held at the Redinger Funeral Chapel Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Christian Church Food Pantry, PO Box 115, Seiling, OK, 73663. Pallbearers for the service will be Jim Sander, Fred Sander, John Sander, Charles Sander, Bob Sander, and Don Tucker. Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Sander, Wes Sander, Bill Jackson, and John Carter.
