Obituary for TRUJILLO

Richard "Steve" Trujillo born December 30,1953, went home to be with the Lord November 10, 2005. Steve had many friends and coworkers. He was known for his great sense of humor, sharp wit and good heartedness. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He had the ability to make even the most solemn situation bearable with his wit and humor. He also loved to barbecue and was known for his unique cooking skills. He was a veteran of Vietnam serving in the US Coast Guard for four years. He worked for the City of Albuquerque for 20 years where he made many friends. He was loved and appreciated by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Steve is survived by his wife of twenty years, Sophia Trujillo; daughter, Bridgette Nieto; grandson, Jacob Richard "Buddy" Chavez; parents, Mary and David Trujillo; four brothers, David Trujillo, Robert Trujillo, Ted and wife, Darla Trujillo and Michael Trujillo; two sisters, Alice and husband, Jacob Roybal, Merlinda and husband, Bennie Sandoval all of Albuquerque; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. His family would like to give a special thanks to family and friends, and co-workers from the City of Albuquerque for all their support in the past few weeks. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, November 16, 2005, at 8:30 a.m. with a Mass immediately after at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's on the Rio Grande Church 5901 St. Josephs Dr. NW. Following the services his ashes will be scattered in the Rose Garden at Vista Verde Cemetery at 4310 Sara Rd. SE, Rio Rancho.
