Clarence L. Johnston, 73, an Albuquerque resident since 1955, died Friday, November 4, 2005. He was born in New Kensington, PA, the second of 6 children. He spent his early years in Western Pennsylvania before moving to New Mexico in 1955 to study accounting at UNM. He spent 42 years as a self-employed tax accountant in Albuquerque. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Shirley Johnston of Albuquerque; daughters Kimberly Johnston-Dodds and husband, David of Sacramento, CA, Jessica Johnston of Albuquerque; sons, Jay Johnston and wife, Kristen of Albuquerque and Michael Johnston and wife, T. J. of Boise, ID; 4 grandchildren, Shelby, Todd, Sarah and Jacob; sisters, Lois Knight of Albuquerque and Mary Hamilton of Austin, TX. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE.
