Ernest F. Navarrete, age 85 and native of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on October 29, 2005. He was a devoted father and husband, a dedicated Ironworker from Local Union 495, a proud WWII veteran and member of American Legion Post 72, and a faithful member of St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church and Foster Grandparent Program. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgia and daughter, Maura. He is survived by his children: Terry and husband, Bill Dunbar; Cecilia and husband, Ron Beauchamp; Anita, son Raul, and husband, Mike Paule; Ernest A. and wife, Joan; Elizabeth and husband, Ralph Getz; Ruben and fiancee, Lisa Jones. He leaves behind 13 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a soon to be born grandchild and great grandchild; sister, Anita Velarde; and devoted sister-in-law, Carmen Navarrete. The family is especially grateful to the quality care provided by Lucy Angel from Assisted Living Services, the Vista Care Hospice doctors, nurses, CNA’s and counselors, especially nurse Stephanie Duran, and friendship of Pete Vigil from the City Senior Companion Program. Ernest will be remembered for his strong work ethic and willingness to help family and friends. A Rosary for Mr. Navarrete will be recited on Wednesday evening, November 2, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2005 also at St. Francis Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Raul Navarrete, William Dunbar, Sarah Getz, Jennifer Navarrete, Daniel Navarrete, and Richard Navarrete.
