Nicolasa (Nickie) Martinez Gentry passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 28, 2005. Nickie was born in Watrous, NM on June 4, 1916. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Gentry in 1996; and her parents, Susanna Trujillo Martinez in 1975; and Sotero C. Martinez in 1957. She is survived by her five children, Frank W. Gentry, wife, Claire and children, Amber Gentry-Gear, Ellyse and July Gentry. Sharon Gentry, husband, Lou Likovic and children, Michael and Jeffrey Wagner and Stephen Likovic; daughter, Sophie Tracy, son-in law, Albert Gallegos and children, Michael Gallegos and Alberta Sandoval. Susan Segura, husband, Domingo Segura and children, Cindy and Gene Segura. Son, Telesfor Lucero wife, Ramona and children, Teddy Lucero and Debbie Coca. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Parker, Nate and Kaley Wagner; Laura Stoker, Mikayla, Megan and Miranda Gallegos; Apryl, Susanna and Anthony Sandoval; Dell Howard Chapel, Andrew Segura, Jacob Sanchez; Brian and Daniel Coca; Jessica, Vanessa, Teddy and Antonio Lucero. Grandma Nickie also had five great-great-grandchildren, Andrew and Angel Stoker; Dominic and Joshua Segura and Allen Coca. She is also survived by her special friends who cared by her so deeply Francine Para and her Dad, Frank and Francine's sons, Joshua and Jeremy Baca. The family would like to express their thanks to Emmie Romero and Vera Manzanes and all the other caregivers who were so kind to Grandma Nickie while she was at Laurel Heights. In accordance with her wishes, Grandma Nickie will be taken home to Watrous. Rosary will be recited at Sacred Heart Church in Watrous, NM Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. with burial to follow at the Watrous cemetery. Roger's Funeral Home in Las Vegas, NM is in charge of the arrangements.
