Robert A. Dudley, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, died Sunday, October 30, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wanda E. Dudley of Albuquerque; children Lynne A. Entrekin and husband, Joe of Augusta, GA; Dale A. McManus and husband Jim of Albuquerque, NM; Wendy E. Shanahan and husband Richard of Albuquerque, NM; son, Robert E. Dudley and wife, Deborah of Rosemary Beach, FL; and Kim I. Dickel and husband, Michael of Portland, OR. Surviving grandchildren include, Allen and wife, Debra; Andrew and wife, Jerrilyn; Esther and husband, Leroy; Benjamin and wife, Laurie; Christina and husband, Will; Bradford, Robert, Heather, Grant, Lauren and Alexander. Great-grandchildren are Shea, Joshua, Cole, Samuel and Morrow. Mr. Dudley was born September 17, 1917 in Randolph, Vermont. He attended the University of Vermont where he received a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1940 and was a Professional Engineer. Mr. Dudley was a member of the Charity Lodge #43 AM & FM of Bradford, VT, and was a 32nd degree Mason (receiving a 55 year pin in September of this year). Mr. Dudley was also a member of the Ballut Abyad Shrine of Albuquerque and the Royal Order of Jesters. He retired from the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs in 1975. After retirement, Mr. Dudley spent several years as a high school math and science substitute teacher for Albuquerque Public Schools. An avid bowler, Mr. Dudley continued to bowl up until his death. He was a great husband and father who cared deeply for his wife and family and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Thursday, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel.
