Irene Cartter Stewart, age 80 and a resident of Albuquerque for 35 years died Saturday October 29, 2005 in a local hospital following an illness. Mrs. Stewart is survived by one son, Jack David Stewart and his wife, Aline of Torrance, CA; her twin-sister, Jean Stewart of Albuquerque; one daughter-in-law, June Stewart also of Albuquerque; four grandchildren, David J. Stewart, Emily L. Aguilar, Jack Douglas Stewart, and David B. Stewart; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Demille Stewart in 1974, a son, James Cartter Stewart in 1986; and a brother, Wallace Cartter. A visitation will be held Monday October 31, 2005 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fitzgerald and Son. She will then be taken to Houston, TX for burial. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Hospital or a charity of choice.
