Obituary for COX

Dee Sterling Cox, 83, of Bosque Farms, was born June 15, 1922 in Killeen, TX. Dee went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2005. He was the son of Dee Sterling and Alice Grace Cox. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Tempy; one sister, Louise Frizzlle; three brothers-in-law, Leonard Aulds, Darrell Frizzlle, Bronce M. Altum; and one grandson, Patrick Cox. He served in WWII in the Navy aboard the battleship USS Mississippi, which was involved in many battles in the South Pacific Theater. He was a farmer and dairyman. He loved to garden, raising many fruits and vegetables, which he shared with his friends and family. He is survived by his daughter, Ann Adams and husband, Sammy of Bosque Farms; sons, Larry Cox and wife, Marie of Los Lunas, Rick Courville and wife, Monique of Albuquerque; step-son, Donald Courville and wife, Cathy of Albuquerque; step-daughter, Tammy Butt and husband, David of North Carolina; one brother, Lonnie Sherwood and wife, Dora of Washington; four sisters, Alice Aulds of Seguin, TX, Winnie Belle Altum of Lufkin, TX, Aletha Haynie and husband, Ed of Belen, NM, Katherine Pool and husband, Charles of Harlingen, TX; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Anchor Baptist Church. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Anchor Baptist Church, 204 Courthouse Rd., Los Lunas, NM at 11:00. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Lomas Chapel on Monday, October 31, 2005 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
