Dee Chavez June 11, 1915 - October 23, 2005 Dee Chavez, 90, of Sterling, CO, died October 23, 2005, in Sterling, CO. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 28, 2005 at Saint Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. Jim Baird presiding. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery. Vigil and Rosary were held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Tennant Funeral Home. Mrs. Chavez was born June 11, 1915, in Cerrillos, NM, to Ernest Riccon and Lucy (Dighiera). She went to school for 12 years and married Fidel Chavez on November 9, 1941, in Cerrillos, NM. She was a member of Saint Anthony Catholic Church. Mrs. Chavez is survived by her husband, Fidel Chavez; son, Dennis Chavez and wife, Marlene; three grandchildren, Renee Chavez, Jeffery Chavez and wife, Kristine, and Kara Chavez; four great-grandchildren, Andrew Mari, and Michael, Austin, and Kylie Chavez. She was preceded in death by four sisters. Memorials may be made to Saint Anthony Catholic Church.
