Obituary for CROW

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Saturday October 22, 2005

Faye Crow passed away on October 16, 2005, at the age of 86. She was born in Greenbrier, AR on February 25, 1919 and spent most of her life in Albuquerque, NM. In 2003 she moved to Surprise, AZ, so she would be closer to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim L. Crow, and is survived by her two daughters, Toni (husband, Frank) Masterson and Tomi (husband, Jim) Medlock; four sisters, Ethel Burkett, Rosa Lee De Wald, Lee Robinson, and Mary Richardson; her five grandchildren (Tami, Colleen, Dawn, Kara, Jason); and her five great-grandchildren (Autumn, Sydney, Kennedy, Jack and Emma). While she didn't possess the titles and accomplishments that the world would see as significant, she did possess the titles that meant everything to those who knew her: Maboy, Mom, Aunt Faye, and friend. The friendships she made and the hospitality she showed will be remembered through the many lives she touched. She never needed much and gave as much as she could. She was a simple yet complex woman and will be missed by all those who came to know and love her. Viewing will be from 4 - 7 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2005 and the Funeral held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2005, at Strong Thorne Mortuary, 1100 Coal Ave. SE in Albuquerque.
