Lt. Col. William C. "Willie" Mueller (USAF Ret), passed away Thursday, October 13, 2005. Willie was born June 29, 1940 to June and Carl Mueller, in Madison, WI. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 through 1988 having been a navigator, electronics warfare officer, Auditor, and Air Operations Commander with AFOTEC at Kirtland AFB. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by a daughter, Amy Stanbury and husband, Andrew; a son, Sgt. Michael "Mick" Mueller and wife, Heather; grandchildren, Joshua, Dalton, Nicole, and Brandon; sisters, Carla Soderberg, Pam Mueller, and Wanda Lekies. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel. Ennichement of cremated remains will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 10501 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Suite 300, Albuquerque, NM 87111, attn: Lorraine West.
