Obituary for GILL

Robert Earl Gill, 75, passed away September 22, 2005, peacefully in the night while visiting family and friends in Conejos County, CO. He retired as a Major in the U.S. Air Force after serving 22 years as a fighter pilot. He then served more than 20 years as an Aviation Supervisor in charge of airport operations and security at the Albuquerque International Airport. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Marie Gill. Survivors include his nine children, David Gill, Deborah (Dave) Heeter, Richard Gill, Catherine (Josh) Cannon, Christopher (Virginia) Gill, all of Albuquerque, Michael (Sherry) Gill of Nevada, Mary (Steve) Carter of Los Alamos, NM, Roberta (Blaine) Bagwell, of Manassa, CO, Tamara (Ralph) Wood of Red Bluff, CA; a brother, David (Nancy) Gill of Tennessee. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He will most be remembered for the loving care he gave Beatrice during her illness, His generosity and love for his family. He taught us the meaning of true love and will be missed by family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 16, 2005 at 5:30 p.m. at Risen Savior Church; 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Internment will be Monday, October 17, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
