Robbie Jones, 20, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Saturday, October 1, 2005. He is survived by his mother, Linda; his father, Chris; his brother, Matthew; his girlfriend, Erin Drew; his grandmothers, Gloria Dunne and Martha Jones; and a large extended family. Robbie graduated valedictorian from Los Lunas High School in 2004. While at Los Lunas High School, Robbie excelled not only in academics but in swimming, jazz and marching band as well. He went on to attend New Mexico Tech to major in Mechanical Engineering with the intent of pursuing a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering. While at New Mexico Tech, Robbie was a member of the National Honor Society, the Math Club, and a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. During the summer, Robbie worked as a head lifeguard at the Los Lunas High School pool. Robbie will be remembered as a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and boyfriend. He will forever live in our hearts. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, October 5, 2005, at 7:00 p.m., at San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, October 6, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., also at San Clemente Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Robert Jones memorial fund at New Mexico Educators Federal Credit Union.
