GILBERT C. Mr. Gilbert C. Garcia, 58, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on September 28, 2005. Mr. Garcia is the beloved husband to Mrs. Gloria M. Garcia, married for 34 years. He is also survived by his two daughters, Melinda A. Lucero and husband, James, Melissa A. Sanchez and husband, Donald; two sons, James Gilbert Garcia and Robert Lucero; two grandchildren, Angelica D. Lucero and Jacob D. Lucero; four sisters, Donna L. Herrera and husband, Orlando, Cora Martinez and husband, Herman, Lena Gonzales and husband, Bobby, Nora Armijo and husband, Ernie; three brothers, Freddie Garcia, Clarence Garcia and wife, Lucy, and Oliver Garcia; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Sara Trujillo and husband, Freddie, Lydia Quintana, Margie Romero, Bennie Romero, Dorella Solis, Theresa Baca and husband, Herman, Jimmy Armijo and wife, Theresa; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Mary Ann Garcia; two sisters, Melba Griego and Pricilla Mountjoy; a brother, David Garcia; and a brother-in-law, Ruben Quintana. Mr. Garcia was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the United States Army serving in the Vietnam Era, a recipient of the Purple Heart and a life time member of the D.A.V. A visitation for Mr. Garcia will be Friday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 7:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos NW with a Rosary to be recited at 8:00 p.m. by Faustine Archuleta. A final visitation will be Saturday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by Father Joe Vigil. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors by the U.S. Army. Pallbearers will be Orlando Herrera Jr., Leroy Garcia, Jimmy Armijo Jr., Lawrence Anaya, Charlie Aragon, and Robert Lucero. Honorary pallbearers will be Phillip Archuleta, Jimmy Armijo Sr., Joseph Lucero, and Ernie Ortega. Arrangements by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW 243-7861
