Obituary for DALBEY

Hortense Black "Mimi" Dalbey passed away quietly on August 17, 2005 at Manzano Del Sol Good Samaritan Village. She was 90 years old, born in the mining town of Dawson, New Mexico. A long time resident of Albuquerque, she graduated from Albuquerque High School class of 1933, and earned a Nursing degree from St. Joseph Hospital, Regina School of Nursing (1935). Hortense was active in Hilltop Women's Golf Association and the Albuquerque Country Club Women's Golf Association. She was also a member of Albuquerque Rose and Garden Society. She was preceded in death by her husband John B. Dalbey; and brothers, Harmon, Leo, Loren, and Bill Black. Hortense was survived by her sister, Nellie Black Crater, who has since passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2005. Hortense is survived by daughters, Carolyn "Pat" Findley of Salida, CO, and Donna Ness of Albuquerque; brothers, Phillip and John Black; nephews, Tim Crater, Jim and Bruce Black; three grandchildren, Alan Findley, Barbara Buckman, and Rebecca Cox; and five great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Lindsey Findley, Mason and Conner Buckman, and Camden Cox.
