Hortense Black "Mimi" Dalbey passed away quietly on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at Good Samaritan Village. She was 90 years old, born in the mining town of Dawson, NM. A long time resident of Albuquerque, she graduated from Albuquerque High School and earned a nursing degree from Regina School of Nursing. Hortense was active in Hilltop Women's Golf Association and Albuquerque Country Club Women's Golf Association. She was also a member of Albuquerque Rose and Garden Society. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Dalbey and brothers, Harmon, Leo, Loren and Bill Black. Hortense is survived by her daughters, Carolyn "Pat" Findley, Barbara Buckman and Rebecca Cox; five great grandchildren, Kaylee and Lindsey Findley, Mason and Conner Buckman and Camden Cox; sister, Nellie Crater of Albuquerque and nephews, Tim Crater, Jim and Bruce Black.
