Dorothy Mary Stretch, 79, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away on September 18, 2005 after a 3-year courageous battle with cancer. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was a resident of Albuquerque since 1967. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, David L. Stretch; daughter, Cynthia A. Parrott, her husband, William R. Parrott of Albuquerque; two grandchildren, Brian D. Parrott and wife, Pamela of Edgewood NM; Troy R. Parrott, his wife, Jennifer, and her great-grandchild, Cody W. Parrott of Rio Rancho NM; brother, Burman Hembree and wife, Rose, of Georgia; sisters, Edith Thornburg, Loretta Dowdle and husband, Leonard, of Charlotte, NC; nephew, Jack Tinsman, his wife, Nancy of Berryville, VA; niece, Alois Egan of Boyce, VA; stepson, Larry Stretch, his wife, Patty of Newbrighton, PA; and her stepdaughter, Judith Howell of Westland, MI. She spent most of her life working in the communications industry for Western Union, NSA, and finally retiring from the State of New Mexico. She was very proud of her loving family and will be missed by all the lives she touched. Sleep with the angels Grandma. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2005, 2:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.
