Mrs. Lucy Montoya went home to be with the Lord on Monday at the age of 78. She was born in Aragon, NM on February 23, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Montoya. She is survived by her son, Mike Montoya and wife, Nancy; one daughter, Cathy Gonzalez; two brothers, Joe R. Romero and wife, Linda and Patrick Romero and wife, Carmel; two sisters, Sister Rosella Romero and Virginia Aragon and husband, Victor; two grandchildren, Jeff Montoya and Alex Gonzales; two great grandchildren, Monique Gonzales and A. J. Montoya. She will be missed by her loving family. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Eighth Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Refreshments will be served following the Rosary in the Celebration of Life Room also at the Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Romero, Joe R. Romero, Jason Wardlow, Albert Aragon, Ron Romero and Lorraine Oest. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Herrera, Robert Aragon, Emilio Herrera and Jesus.
