Louis H. Thias, 87, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, died Friday, September 16, 2005. He is survived by his three daughters, Mary Smith and husband, Bill of Phoenix, AZ, Carol Saavedra and husband, Ronn of Albuquerque, and Pamela Wilson of Albuquerque; five grandchildren, Pete Landau, Jeff Smith, Linda Bailey, Mary Bailey and Megan Thias; four step-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Lou was preceded in death by his wife, Sue Thias in 1998. He was born in Seymour, IN on Feb 22, 1918. Lou served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He and his family moved to Albuquerque in 1960 where he worked for AT&T until his retirement in 1983. Lou was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University, NE on Monday, September 19, 2005 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Services will be held at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with burial following at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 5201 Venice Ave NE, Suite A & B, Albuquerque, 87113.
