Jarah Daniele Kaufman Cruz, 26, a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2005. Jarah was born January 9, 1979, the daughter of Joel David Kaufman and Venus Janett Davila in Albuquerque, NM. She attended Dennis Chavez Elementary School in Albuquerque, Merrimack High School in New Hampshire, and attended UNM and TVI in Albuquerque. She was the youngest daughter, and always the "tomboy." She will also be remembered for her fun sense of humor. Jarah loved being a Mom. Jarah was preceded in death by one son, Isaac Michael Cruz and one daughter, Angel Daniele Cruz. She is survived by her husband, Emilio Frank Cruz of Rio Rancho; father, Joel Kaufman of Cape Cod, MA; mother, Venus J. Davila of Nasua, NH; children, Nathan Daniel Cruz and Maiya Daniele Cruz of Rio Rancho; brother, Joshua Kaufman of Rio Rancho; sisters, Jodi McNamara and husband, Joseph of Roswell, NM, and Jannah Montalvo and husband, Dennis of Rio Rancho; paternal grandmother, Lillian Kaufman of Laguna Beach, CA; maternal grandparents, Juan and Judith Davila of Puerto Rico; father and mother-in-law, Erminio and Josie Cruz of Wagon Mound, NM; brothers-in-law, Phillip Cruz and wife, Jami of Rio Rancho, and Perfecto Olguin and wife, Sonia of Wagon Mound, NM; also aunts, uncles, Frances and Jerry Zweibel and Sandra and Crawford Lydle all of Laguna Hills, CA; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with the Service at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Lane in Rio Rancho, with Deacon Kenneth Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Joshua Kaufman, Joe McNamara, Daniel Lydle, Dennis Montalvo, Phillip Cruz, and Perfecto Olguin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Nathan Cruz and Crawford Lydle. It has been suggested that memorial contributions be made in Jarah's name for an Education Fund for her children c/o Bank of America, Country Club, 3101 Southern Blvd., SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124.
