Obituary for CHAVEZ

Mary Alfedes Chavez, 81, lost her battle with breast cancer after 17 years on September 16, 2005. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio and Librada; her brother, Richard (which was her motivation to join the USAF); brother Ben; and sister, Molly. Mary is survived by her sister, Charlotte Marquez and Robert; brother, Bobby; brother, Richard and Vicky; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary was a Master Sergeant in the USAF when she retired in 1971 after 28 years in the service. Pallbearers will be Eloy Chavez, David Chavez, Anthony Chavez, Jim Walton, Patrick Lamb, Joseph Chavez, Michael Chavez, and Lupe Lopez. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception 619 Copper NW 87102. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, September 19, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary University Chapel. Mary requested that in lieu of flowers make donations to the American Cancer Society 1051 Montgomery Blvd. NE, Suite 300, 87111. The family wishes to thank and acknowledge Lupe Lopez for all his support, prayers and help with all of Mary's arrangements. Deacon Greg Archunda for all his visits, prayers, and support.
