Obituary for MELTON

Robert E. Sr. (Bob), age 67, died peacefully on September 12, 2005 at Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice Inpatient Unit after an extended illness. He resided in Albuquerque since 1966. Bob was an attorney in private practice until the time of his death. Bob was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed hunting. He served as Secretary and General Counsel of the Amateur Trapshooting Association of America for 18 years, and was a Life Member of that association. He particularly enjoyed shooting on the squad with his son, Rob. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Flois; a son, Rob and his wife, Melissa; and a granddaughter, Jaycee; his mother, Margaret; all of Albuquerque; his sister, Ann Johnson of Riverside, CA; two brothers-in-law; several nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces and -nephews; and many friends. Many thanks to Shirley and Cynthia, for their compassionate care; to Dr. Robin Tuchler and his staff, and to the staff of the Hospice Unit at Kaseman for their loving support. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 16, 2005 at 10 a.m., at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 9100 Menaul NE. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's name to the Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice Inpatient Unit at 8300 Constitution Place NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
