Marie Argaud, 62, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on September 11, 2005 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Marie was born in Roswell, NM and was raised in Artesia, NM. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Eastern New Mexico University, and was a dedicated middle school teacher for 26 years. Marie dearly loved her family and friends. She helped fill their days with fun and laughter, and she will be deeply missed. Marie is survived by her son, Darrell Argaud; daughter, Dianna Blom and husband, Corey; grandsons, Christopher and Jacob Blom; sister, Marjorie Pool; brother, James Herbert and wife, Mary; best friend, Lana Finley; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2005 from 12:00 -1:00 p.m., and Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Sunrise, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Marie will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven following the Service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to organizations such as The American Cancer Society in Marie's name.
