Obituary for TELLES

Cecilia Padilla, age 79, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 11, 2005 surrounded by her loved ones. Cecilia was born in San Pedro, NM. She and her beloved "Honey" Angel G. Telles lived in Hanover, NM; Bisbee, AZ, Palo Alto, CA and in 1960 moved and made their home and business in Albuquerque. Like her patron saint, she had a passion for music. She played the guitar, piano, accordion and organ. Cecilia loved music and loved to sing. Cecilia and her husband who predeceased her, met each other when he asked her to teach him how to play guitar; but actually he just wanted to meet Cecilia. Cecilia was preceded in death by her husband, Angel G. "Honey" Telles, her brother, Lorenzo Padilla; and her granddaughter, Michelle Y. Telles. She is survived by her son, Richard H. Telles and his wife, Bette; daughter, Erlinda Telles Montoya and husband, Steve Montoya; son, Angel P. Telles and his wife, Julianne; sons, Edmund Telles, and Orlando Telles; and brother, Ricardo Padilla. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Andrew Telles, Angel Rae Telles, Charelle Telles, Jeremy Garcia Telles, Bryan Telles, Raquel Robertson, Niquole Telles, Loren Telles, Steven Brown, David Aguilar; and great-grandchildren, Liliana Telles, Kaden Telles, Adam Telles and Vendola Telles; and many loving cousins. The family would like to thank Presbyterian Kaseman Hospice for their gentle care and support. Also her precious neighbors who came over and made her feel comfortable. Visitations will be held on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the Rosary in the Celebration of Life Room also at Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricardo Padilla, Ernesto Tellez, Steve Montoya, Bryan Telles, Loren Telles, Jeremy Garcia-Telles and Rosendo Griego. Honorary pallbearers will be Silveria Molina, Mary Pino, Raquel Robertson, Niquole Telles, Cherelle Telles and Julianne Telles.
