Joseph Lee Barela went home to his creator September 10th 2005. He is survived by his parents, Ray and Eliza Barela of Tajique NM; five brothers, Ray Barela Jr., and wife, Chavela, Richard Barela, Tommy Barela and wife Jessica, Michael Barela and wife Elisa all of Tajique, and Daniel Barela and wife, Audrey of Albuquerque, five sisters, Rose Mary Castillo and husband, Willie of Albuquerque, Emma Kirkpatrick and husband, Russell of Los Lunas, Della Tapia and husband, Ray of Tajique. Gloria Lucero and husband Johnny of Tijeras, and Eliza Romero and husband, Michael of Tajique. Pallbearers will be Ray J. Barela Jr., Richard Barela Jr, D.J. Barela, James Romero, Antonio Barela, and Jose Espinoza. A mass will be celebrated this afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at the San Antonio Church in Tajique NM. Burial will follow at the Tajique Cemetery.
