Betty J. Carlton, age 78, died Wednesday, September 7, 2005 at a local hospital in Albuquerque. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Keeney and husband Denis of Los Lunas, NM. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many close friends. Mrs. Carlton was preceded in death by her husband, F.E. "Curly" Carlton, stepson, Jim Carlton, and sisters, Helen Buckley and Myrna Gorman. Betty was active in the Women's Bowling Association for over 40 years and had been a 4-H leader for five years. Over the years she had shared her love of music with family members and passed it on to them. She will be missed dearly. Cremation has taken place and a Graveside Memorial Service will be held Monday, September 12, 2005, 11:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE 823-9400
