Drucilla (Dru), age 79, passed away peacefully Saturday, August 27, 2005, surrounded by her family. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt and was survived by her son, George Curry Jr. and his wife, Kim, along with their children, Shaun Curry, Dominic Curry and his wife, Holly, Brian Curry and Nick Curry; her son, Mark Curry and his wife, Delores (DeeDee), along with his children, Cainin Curry and Jason Curry; Clifford Curry, along with his children, Jessica Curry, Samantha Curry, Matthew Gladfelter, Kyle Gladfelter, and Michelle Curry; and her daughter, Jessica Stark-Cebada, along with her children, Brandon Stark, Bronson Stark, and Brittany Cebada. Dru was also survived by and blessed to have spent time with her first great-granddaughter, Marilyn Day Curry. Dru was called home to be reunited with her mother and father, Jesusita and Telesfor Chavez; her dear brothers, Clarence Chavez and Ben Chavez; and her dear sister, Emily Klienhen, who all preceded her in death. Dru was a longtime resident of Albuquerque. A single Service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM. A celebration of Dru's life will follow at her son's home. Romero Funeral Home, 609 N. Main St., Belen.
