Richard W. Smith Jr., 46, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Friday, August 19, 2005. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Susan M. Smith of Tijeras; his daughter, Breanne Smith; parents, Loretta Wood and her husband, Jack Wood, of Albuquerque, and Richard W. Smith Sr. of Tijeras; sister, Becky Meek of Mesquite TX; brother-in-law, Judd Knight and his wife, Jeanne of Woodbury MN; step-brother, Jack Wood Jr. and his wife, Marilyn of Albuquerque, and a large extended family. He served on the Albuquerque Police Department for 21 years. Services will be held Thursday, August 25, 2005 at Hoffmantown Church 8888 Harper NE at 10:00 a.m. Friends may visit French Mortuary University Chapel, Sunday, August 21, 2005 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., and Wednesday, August 24, 2005 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m..
