Louis Edward "Digger" O'Dell, 81, passed away, Saturday, August 20, 2005 in Albuquerque. He was born October 18, 1923 in Chicago, IL. He joined the United States Coast Guard at the age of 17, and served in the Korean, Okinawa, and French Campaigns. He moved his family to New Mexico in 1963. Survivors include two sons and three daughters, Gary Schnell, Albuquerque; Louis O'Dell Jr., Cedar Crest; Joy Cooper, El Vado; K.C. Hamilton, Albuquerque; Charmaine Salazar, Tierra Amarilla; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
